Lived in by members of the Danish royal family, this house is by the area where the Price Joachim lives. I can't remember exactly if this house has any significance, but it typifies the beauty of the area.

Take a walk down Slotsgade and enjoy the half-timbered houses and the breezy way of life in rural Denmark.

The understated exterior of this church blends well into this idyllic town. The nave dates from 1180 and the tower from 1500.

The wonderful 19th century replicas of the frescos really do justice to the church, making it a visual treasure trove.

The wonderfully-preserved are rare wooden gallery is worth a look. Many churches have long since torn down their galleries--this one is not only well-kept, but it doesn't tend to be something one sees often.

Whilst Denmark has many churches dating back hundreds of years, time and progress has left very simple interiors due to maintenance issues and style preferences.
Møgeltønder Kirke has a gallery (many churches in Denmark tore down their galleries) and not only that, it has preserved paintings on the sides of the gallery!
In addition the church has redone ceiling frescos (as in the whole ceiling by the chancel!), ceiling paintings in wood above the pews, a baptismal font from 1200.
If you are in the area, I would put this as a can't miss attraction. Due to its location, the church is not overrun with tourists, either.
