Depeche Mode: Good music, but nothing special in other ways
We do like Depeche Mode music, at least their older music. We´ve seen them alive once. So we had to check this place out. Place was not so special looking, as we thought it would have been. Of course they had lots of DM-staff there, but we felt like the place had allready seen it´s best days. It was at saturday night, should have been a busy day, but there was quite a few customers.
As "beer persons" we didn´t seem to find anything to drink in here. So we took some drinks named after DM songs. Don´t remeber what they were, but quite o.k. My husband said they didn´t put very much alcohol in those, so they were "safe", but maybe not as cheap as sounded first.
The best thing was TV showing live concerts of DM. If the place would have better selection of beers, I think we might have stayed longer watching the concerts.
We might pop in for one drink some day but didn´t feel like we MUST get here again.

Depeche Mode Baar: Takes you back to the 80's and 90's
As a huge fan of Depeche Mode I was shocked to see that there is a whole (but tiny) bar dedicated to them. The carpet is the Violator album cover. Tables have old concert tickets, song lyrics and photos under the glass. The interior is red and black and the decor is autographed posters, more photos and album covers. The TV's loop DM videos. The drinks are named after DM songs. It's open from noon-4 a.m. and they take credit cards

DM Baar: Never let me down...
If you are (or ever were) a Depeche Mode fan, you HAVE
to pay this place a visit! At least to check out the cute carpet
with the violator roses printed all over =)
Grab a pint, sit down and enjoy DM, either on the telly in the
corner of one of the rooms or through the loudspeakers...

Depeche Mode Bar: Theme Bar Heaven - DM
In a dingy basement, just by the road to the castle, you will find a very odd place.
Depeche Mode are loved by the oweners of this bar, and as a result everything inside, from the music, to the videos, and the tables are DM inspired. Even the walls bear the mark of the 80's band.
Worth a look for curiosity sake, but don't expect to come back unless you share the passion of the band.
DM Bar: Just can't get enough
A very welcome alternative to Tallinn's techno/mainstream-oriented nightlife is this Depeche Mode fan bar in the Old Town. On weekends there's a DJ and the unspectacular bar turns into a club with dancefloor. DM is certainly the prefered music here, but other alternative music is also played. Drinks are cheap (Vodka Lemon is 30kr). Fun!
Dress Code: None, but black and red are the prefered colors
