The middle altar, the main one in the cathedral, is that of the Dormition of the Mother of God. The southern altar is dedicated to St. Seraphim of Sarov the Miracle-Worker and to St. John Climacus, and the northern one—to St. Nicholas and St. Demetrios of Thessalonica. An icon of the Mother of God set in a precious frame and studded with precious stones is placed against the pylon on the right side. There are other holy icons in the cathedral—the Vladimir and Chernigov icons of the Mother of God, and that of St. Panteleimon the Great Martyr and Healer, donated by the monasteries on Mount Athos.
