There are some cute little locally owned shops in Poltsamaa selling locally made arts and crafts or bakery. Try the sugary bretzels or black bread made in Kördiööbiku Bakery. The smell will take you there. The bakery is in an old house which used to be a school long time ago. Lemmik lilleäri has some amazing women working there who will do the most creative flower arrangements for you. This place also smells good. The little handicraft shop sells knitwear and patchowrk and other things with soul, made by local people who mostly do handicraft as a hobby. The arts and crafts shop in the medieval castle yard is also selling locally produced works while the focus is more on paintings.
What to buy: While in Poltsamaa, try also the wine and cheese made there
