Miscellaneous: When you visit Tallinn for your vacation, it is highly recommended to purchase on the first day of your Tallinn visit, an important and excellent guidebook on Tallinn known as "Tallinn, a Medieval Crossroads" by Toomas Vendelin. It costs just 66.00 EEK and you are able to purchase it from many bookstores outside the Old Town. Lots of information about Tallinn Old Town are depicted in the guidebook including a picture of bird's eye view of Tallinn.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: For Tallin you will definitely need comfortable shoes! There are cobblestones every where!
Even in the summer: always take a sweater and a light rain coar with you. Weather can change quickly. Do not forget to pack your swim suit. Estonia's beaches are beautiful.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Insect repellant makes sense, especially if you travel outside of town through wooded or swampy areas. Moskitos are not as big a problem on the beach.
Do not forget suntanning cream or oil. Although Estonia is not a tropical country, you can get sunburned quick enough!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Don't forget the fact that Estonia has four seasons - winter, spring, summer and autumn. Therefore you should deifnately check out the wather before coming. For that, try the website www.ilm.ee.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Anything you need, you can get from here. We have a good choice of medical supplies available in the farmacies (called 'Apteek') and also in the bigger supermarkets. Unless you use some very unique and specific products, no need to take anything along, since things are cheaper here anyways than in most parts of the world...
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: It's a good idea to bring a ytent and a sleeping bag if you are an outdoors person. Camping is really popular and common in Estonia. People use both official camping sites as well as just put their tent up anywhere they please.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Ok, this is a no brainer...but, be sure to bring enough WARM CLOTHES! (This isn't only to please your mother, but for your own well being too!) I visited mid-end November and was in a constant frozen state. The only temperature sign I saw read -17C. I had no idea what the equilvalent was in Farenheit, but somehow it didn't matter. Cold was cold, no matter what the number. Bring clothes that are easy to layer..I wore a tank top, long sleeve shirt, heavy sweater, and parka every day...as well as knee socks plus another pair on top. Heavy gloves and a hat are essential. Without either, you'll most likely be in tears!!!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Estonian weather is changing quite often. So you always should have warm clothes with you. An umbrella can also come in handy.
Winters are mostly quite cold.
Summers: to be honest it depends, they can be very rainy, or very hot.
Best if you look for forcast before coming. Just to be ready for it.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: You can buy all the things in Estonia. So there isn't any special thing you should have.
In Estonia there are lot of bugs, so you just have to have some sprays not to get bite by them.
Photo Equipment: There shouln't be any problems.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: There are lot of camping places as well as water bodies. Although the weather may seem cold sometimes the water is quite warm. I advice you to swim in lakes. The water is there warm and clean. So in any case take swimming suit with you. But you can buy it here too.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Climate:
The climate in Estonia is temperate, characterized by warm summers and fairly severe winters. The weather is often breezy and humid due to the proximity of the Baltic Sea. Average temperatures range from 20.9° C in summer (usually July is the hottest month) to - 8°C in winter. Although occasionally the temperature may rise to 30°C and above in summer or sink below - 23°C in winter, it is very usual at our latitude. Bring your umbrella and a light raincoat in case of occasional showers.
