    Lahke Madjar: Viva Hungary!

    by King_Golo Updated Apr 4, 2011 945 reviews

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Lahke Madjar (photo copyright by Tartu2005)

Lahke Madjar is a Hungarian restaurant situated in Pärnu's centre. The food is very good and tastes really Hungarian (I went there with a girl with Hungarian ancestors, and she confirmed this!). Prices are above average.

Favorite Dish: the goulash soup was superb - spicy (which is rare in Estonia) and with the right ingredients

Monus Margarita Tex Mex & Grill: Tex Mex and strawberry Margeritas

by Thoomuch Updated Apr 4, 2011 442 reviews

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

You can in the summer sit outside as well as inside in this restaurant. Friendly and serviceminded staff...we did have two small children (2 and 4 years old) with us, and for them there are a special (and cheap) childrens menu also they do get pens and paper to have fun with when the menues arrives.....highly appriciated from the chidren.
Also inside the restaurant the interior is made on mexican style, and there is a childrens playground corner for children to play....highly appriciated ofcourse for the children, but also from us eldery...:-)

Favorite Dish: We did have a big texmex mixed plate, and spicy chicken and there where plenty of food.
Also (we went there two evenings) we did have strawberry Margaritas...can highly be recomended!! :-))
Also try the coffe drinks, the tex mexican coffe was very very good!
There is qutie a lot to chose of from the meny, both for starters, main courses but not so meny desserts.

    Steffani: Pizza and more...

by Thoomuch Updated Aug 18, 2005 442 reviews

    Steffani Restoran

Steffani is situated in the middle of Pärnu (old part). In summertime they do have an outdoor part wich is really nice to have a meal in......it was quite crowded when we went there. You can see them making the food in the kitchen while waitting for your food.
It is nice and clean, and the stuff where serviceminded and friendly.
And the most important, the food did taste very good and it is really pricy........as it is almost everywhere in restaurants in Estonia.
Also the indoor restaurant looked really good when we did have a quick look.....

Favorite Dish: We did have pasta and pizza...very good, but you can have a look at their internet site to see what they do have to offer.

Rüütli Hoov: Small cosy Estonian restaurant serving local food

by WanderingFinn Written Apr 13, 2007 353 reviews

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Rüütli Hoov restaurant in Pärnu old town was a good choice for our lunch one day. Quite a small place, local countryside athmosphere, easy-going style.

Beer and other drinks are cheap: one half-a-litre pint of local beer cost only 25 Estonian crowns (appr. 1,6 euros).

Favorite Dish: Their pork schnitzel filled with ham and cheese - not very healthy but very good. Price: 95 EEK (appr. 6 euros).

    Steffani: Best Pizza in Parnu

by antistar Updated Jul 3, 2012 2514 reviews

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    Steffani Pizza Restaurant, Parnu

Having not eaten pizza elsewhere in Parnu I can't vouch for that title personally, but every Estonian I talked to, and everyone in Parnu agreed, that Steffani was the best place to eat pizza for miles around. It was certainly good, and the restaurant is very, very popular. Even at 6pm on a Tuesday evening in the shoulder season, it was packed. Considering how busy it was the service was pretty fast and friendly. They heated my sons food and even dropped off some crayons for him to be confused about (he'd never used them before but he was excited by the idea).

The pizzas are not expensive, and they are huge. When we ordered one pizza they waitress initially walked away. I called her back to give her my order. When the pizzas turned up I realised that she must have thought we'd ordered one to share, because the pizzas were so big neither of us could finish. For the quality and size, the price is really low. The location is also perfect, in a quiet street in the centre of town.

Trahter "Postipoiss": Cosy real Estonian place with local food & music

by WanderingFinn Written Apr 13, 2007 353 reviews

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The restaurant "Postipoiss" is a very cosy local place with dark reddish terracotta coloured tile/brick walls and brown tables and long benches. It is a traditional Estonian place and so is the food too. Postipoiss is one of the most favourite restaurants in Pärnu, so come early to get a table.

At least on weekends there is a local band playing nostalgic songs from different decades - in Estonian language (but you can recognize the original behind the translation). Later at night local people dance (not disco; local traditional dances).

There is no dress code at all; you can just come as you are.

Favorite Dish: We shared quite a big Russian style Zakuska starter plate containing many different dishes in small amounts. It was a success.

Also the veal steak (Easter food) was delicious.

    Monus Margarita: Not Tex-Mex

by bsfreeloader Written Jun 10, 2007 656 reviews

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Although billed as Tex-Mex, this is definitely not. This is the kind of Mexican food your mom makes, with chips opened from a bag, salsa and guacamole from a can, and fajitas that aren't marinated but are drowned in sauce after being cooked. The food fills a space and the staff is friendly, but restaurants like this are the reason Tex-Mex hasn't caught on around the world as it should.

Kuursaal: Nice restaurant near to the beach area

    by Dr.Styranki Written Jan 18, 2007 98 reviews

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Restaurant is close to the beach and seaside

Comfortably located traditional bistro. Does not serve fancy seafood, but excellent portions of pork and other traditional Estonian dishes, which go fine with pint(s) of inhouse brewed beer.

Favorite Dish: Ribs do fine, also meat dumblings with sour cream were affordable.

by Openseas Updated Oct 1, 2007 832 reviews

    Restaurant –

This is this most impressive part of the hotel and is well worth your effort to at least dine here if staying in Parnu. The food and service was superior offering a wonderful dining experience. Dinner or lunch can also be taken on the outdoor terrace overlooking the stunning parkland gardens. Breakfast was also fabulous with a excellent selection.

Favorite Dish: The duck and terrific wine list.
