Any of the major shopping centres: Quality clothes at low prices!

by RachelMaksimova

From Scandinavian "high-street" labels like Vero Moda and Jack and Jones to high-end Scandinavian designers such as Malene Birger and Rabens Saloner, Estonia has a huge range and at really great value due to the economy and the close proximity to Scandinavia. Snow-wear...skiing, snow-boarding or simply boots and warm clothes....all fantastic quality and value. I bought snow-boots for €17. Really warm, comfortable and waterproof and pretty trendy looking!

Tax free boutique M/s Romantika: Lovely souvenir hat from Estonia

by hopang

Take the opportunity to purchase a lovely and high quality souvenir hat from Estonia (as depicted in our photograph on the right) at tax free boutique onboard M/s Romantika or M/s Victoria I if you take a cruise between Stockholm and Tallinn. It costs just 7.00 euros per hat onboard. Almost all the shops in the city of Tallinn that we had enquired are charging at least 10.00 euros per souvenir hat. This is a good bargain - a saving of at least 3.00 euros per hat! Other high quality items are also on sale onboard M/s Romantika or M/s Victoria I of Tallink Line's tax free boutiques such as brand name t-shirts, winter jackets, other brand name clothings, leather products, perfumes, fashion accessories, jewelleries, health and beauty products etc. High quality souvenir hat from Estonia. Only 7.00 euros per hat

Rimi Hypermarket, Tallinn: A one stop shopping

by hopang

Rimi Hypermarket is located just within a stone's throw from the cruiseship terminal at the harbour in Central Tallinn. This is a large one roof shopping hypermarket operated by ICA of Scandinavian countries. It occupies a total floor area of approximately 10,000 square meters. Wide range of food, drinks, confectionaries, clothings, apparels and other consumer goods are available at Rimi Hypermarket. The hypermarket is very popular with the locals as well as foreign tourists. Ample parking spaces for motor vehicles are available at the shopping centre. Casinos, eateries and other shops are also located at the shopping centre. Liquor, wines, beer, cider, biscults, snacks and cakes are highly recommended at Rimi Hypermarket. Good food and drink prices - certainly value for your money.

everywhere: Amber

by vikendall

you will find beautiful amber everywhere. It is not cheap. Other locations are cheaper. Beware, you will see some georgous pieces, with huge stones, but not cheap. Woolen products are inexpensive, hand made, and georgous. The best buys are these local hand made woolens, (caps, sweaters, scarves). Off the beaten path in the old medeval area, you can pay 10 euros for a fine cap. In the tourist traps, you will pay double or treble that amount.

Shopping at Christmas Market

by kylamees

This is actually every year shopping place for Christmas gifts in Old Town Square. hard to miss it in December. Prices are usually many times up than usual but there are always exceptions. Some are very reasonable and some things are popular not only for tourists but for local people, too. I bought some hats for exapmle, good hats and not very expensive, but hand-made... Estonian hand-made stuff what You like. Wool, cotton etc. Best selection of Estonian local handicraft (not russian toys what You can usually find from some souvenir shops in front of main tourist traps).

Apollo: Lost??

by picklegirl

There are a couple of good bookstores in the Old Town: Apollo was my favourite. If you need a map, guide book, or a souvenir Hallmark birthday card written in Estonian, Apollo is the place for you! I believe they also had a large section of English language books.

Handcrafts and other souvenirs

by diamond7

You will find places where can buy local works in many towns all over Estonia.Anyway, if you want to buy a souvenir but forgot it, and now are departing to Finland, you have yet a last opportunity to do it..

Suggested souvenirs

by Lodestar

There are several souvenir shops in most cityies and towns in Estonia, especially in the ones that are most often visited by tourists. Also most cities have market places which can be a good place for buying souvenris. Ceramics: Ceramic replicas of Tallinn Old Town buildings, often fitted with candle holders inside are very popular.Jewelry: Estonian jewelry has a hint of the Nordic: clean lines, minus gaudy excess. There’s also a distinctly Estonian touch to locally-made jewelry. Graphics: You can find cheapo paintings of varying quality from amateur artists hocking their goods along old-city streets. A number of galleries sell originals and prints by leading Estonian artists. Liquor: Estonian-made liqueur Vana Tallinn. Other options include Saku or Tartu beer or a bottle of Gremi—a Tallinn-bottled Georgian brandy. Chocolate: A box of chocolates by Estonian candy maker Kalev are...
