Usually when people travel to Estonia, they go to the capital Tallinn. It is a nice city indeed, but I suggest everyone to see other lovely places too. First of all, as soon as you are 10 kms away from Tallinn, the prices go down steeply.
In Estonia it is easy to tour with a car around the cities; it is not that big country. Also public transportation network is good and prices are extremely cheap.
This time we had decided to spend a weekend in southern Estonia, in a city called Viljandi. We found a nice guesthouse providing cheap rooms with breakfast. Eating out was cheap; once we ate soups as a light lunch in our guesthouse at the price of 1 euro only.
You can also take a nice relaxing massage at a price of appr. 12-16 euros per hour (in Finland 60-120 euros...). They also have very professional but cheap hairdressers and beauty saloons.
It was a shopping paradise for us: clothes cost some 1/3 of the prices of Tallinn! I came out with a leather jacket, boots, leather handbag, my husband with shirts, pullovers and many more.
