The Cave Church St Atanas is not far from the Monastery Complex St Bogorodica (in Kalista), a bit further down the shore of Lake Ohrid.
St Atanas is build into the cliffs of Lake Ohrid, and it is very small.
At the time of visiting (2007), the church housed a wasp´s nest, so be warned :-)
If the church is closed, the people from Hotel Biser might have the key for you.

The Monastery of Sveti Bogorodica (Holy Mother of God) in Kalista, on the northwest shore of Lake Ohrid, has a church and a cave church.
The monastery is build around the cave church, and the cave church could easily be missed if not looking for it.
To enter the cave church, you have to enter the monastery, see the pictures. Steep stairs bring you to the little cave church, with frescos dating back to the 15th century.
If the church is closed, the people from hotel Biser might be able to open it for you.
