With its decked terrace on the shores of the lake Dalga is one of the best located restaurants in the city - most of the other lakeshore places are more cafe/bar than restaurant.

This was the venue for our final dinner of Euromeet 2011 and because most had been late arriving after the bus tour of Western Macedonia was a bit more rushed and low-key than the previous dinners. Still a pleasant evening though and on the eats front we were treated to a another set of variations on the local appetizers theme, followed by a really excellent duo of escalopes of beef and pork with a mushroom sauce.

As with the Belvedere this is another elegantly laid out restaurant with a mix of the homely and modern. Service was friendly and swift, beer prices reasonable and by all accounts this is rated as the city's best place to sample the local Ohrid trout.

The venue for our VT Farewell Dinner was at the RESTAURANT DALGA. They serve traditional Ohrid dishes and fish dishes. They have a wonderful eating area right by the waterfront. Most of us got there late as we just returned from our bus tour.
We were presented a three course meal starting with a tomato/cucumber salad with generous amounts of cheese sprinkled into it. Main course was a plate of two meats - pork & beef - rice - turnip. Dessert was ice cream.

Dalga Restaurant: Eat fish next to the lake!

Dalga is one of the best fish restaurants in town. It also benefits from being right on the lake as you pass through the old part of town on the way to Sv. Sophia.

Pic from lake at dawn from the hostel

well i guess this is the bar,the first one coming from the harbour on the left side of the street... if you are looking for internet come here, dont go to any other place..why?
Because paying a beer you can use internet box machine placed in the entrance.. so its almost per free, the staff is also so nice and kind with you asking where are u from or what are u doing there.... i guessed i was one or the one traveller there in those days

So i didnt eat there but the atmosphere is really cosy and there is outside terrace looking at the lake ... i can imagine that in summer season !!! wow superb !!

    From Dalga restaruant

I tried Ohrid trout there and it was fine, well cooked. The wine alternatives are wide and the location is good. You can sit by the lake and eat. I paid 10 euro for fish and a glass of wine.
