Millenium Restaurant: Worth a second visit!
Our Macedonian friends took my husband here TWICE. Since they seldom go to the same place twice in a row -- this was a big deal!! The food was reported as excellent!
Favorite Dish: My husband's chicken looks pretty tasty there all draped in its kashkaval cheese ;)
Millennium Restaurant: Reliably good
A pleasant hotel restaurant with a nice roofed terrace, direct on the boulevard.
Comfortable seats. Prices very reasonable. Spotlessly clean kitchen, good and friendly service. Many local people dine here.
The cuisine is a mixture of Macedonian and international dishes.
You can eat leisurely here, either a snack, or a full elaborate dinner. For lunch I would often just have a 'Greek salad: a veritable, intimidating mountain of tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, olives, with HUGE chunks of fresh sheep's cheese mixed in. With fresh bread, this dish cost one euro in 2006. Another lunch: trout soup and bread, 1.50 euros. Chicken kebab and various other small meat dishes with a small salad and chips (french fries) 2 euros.
Steak dinners and more elaborate, 'expensive' meals cost about 6-8 euros.
Regardless of how little you order, the service is excellent and you can eat leisurely and in comfort. Tips are very much appreciated by the friendly and courteous waiters, but not essential.
Favorite Dish: All the food was good. I ate here almost every day, lunch and dinner, for a week. I would have liked to have seen more oven dishes (so called 'slow food') and local dishes on the menu.
The seafood and cream pasta was very good. The trout is also excellent, but can only be ordered per kilo, so for a group of 3-4.
