Village meat, shopska salad, stuffed cabbage leaves (with minced meat, rice and sauce), musaka, local wine (white and red wine are really tasteful), turli tava (meat, potatoes, ocra), tavce-gravce (beans baked in a clay pot).
Macedonia's meat was very good. But the best thing was bean for me. Restaurants and cafes were very cheap. Burek is börek in Turkey, we love it but we couldn't find a good one...
I notised that most of the restaurants in Macedonia have rustic, folk interior.

One of the delights for me in visiting Macedonia is the sparkling bottled water called Pelisterka. It is from the Pelister mountain region near Bitola.
