The look is welcoming, in a rather rustic style. All the people dining there give the impression of having a good time, and after a little while also the newcomer discovers why. As soon as you start tasting the typical local appetizers and the wine you tell yourself: this will be an enjoyable evening!
There is also live music (I do not know if it is every evening) and the musicians have a wide repertoire. If you drink enough wine you will be willing to sing along with the musicians when they reach your table.
Favorite Dish: The appetizers (ajvar, makalo, pindzur etc.) are great, but one should enjoy at least one main course. My favourite was the Pork a la Rustika.
I was especially impressed by the quality of the wines. I had Chardonnay with the starters and Aleksandar (red) with the main courses, both from Bovin Winery.
I have eaten here 3 times -- once inside and twice outside. The food is good quality with a focus on Macedonian dishes. It is a favorite of the international community.
The picture was take of a rose in the outside eating area.
I like Lira because they play traditional music while you eat, and you can make requests. I don't know if they are only playing on the weekend, or if also during the week. The ambiance is nice, and they have a lovely terrace outside in Summer.
Favorite Dish: I like the chicken in cream sauce, with a shopska salad. I have also had a sort of Macedonian stew here which was nice.
