When I arrived at my hotel, the Aleksandar Palace, I noticed this large building near it, so I was curious to know something about it. I learned it is the Boris Trajkovski Sports Hall, a sports centre with basketball and volleyball halls, a bowling alley and a fitness centre.
For sports events it has 6000 fixed seats, plus another 2000 movable seats.
It was named after President Boris Trajkovski, who died in an airplane crash in 2004, during his term as President of the Republic of Macedonia.
When the Sports Hall was inaugurated, the legendary Harlem Globetrotters basket team played here.

A group of fans of Vardar were seperated from Komiti for several reasons and established their own fan group called "Loyal Fans". They are located at the northern part of Gradski Stadion (City Stadium).

Komiti was established in 1987 like many other Yugoslav football fan groups. The name stems from "commitees" fighting against Ottoman rule in the beginning of 20th cc.
The fans are located in Western side of the Gradski Stadion (City Stadium) in Skopje.

Gradski Stadion (City Stadium) is the one where Vardar and Makedonijan national team plays the matches.
Equipment: I watched a match: Vardar vs Sileks and I did not pay for the ticket. It was free...A football-lover's paradise! :)

This is not a sports place. However, I think that any football lover may like to go and have a drink in Darko Pancev who was in the heroic team of Red Star that won the European Cup in 1991, who also won the "golden boot" in Europe in 1991.
He is now, manager of Vardar Skopje.

This is a view of the sports stadium from Kale at sunset. It is the white curve on the left. The reason there is only one white curve is because they discovered that the ground on the side near the Vardar river would not support such as structure. The total capacity is 30,000.
Equipment: Be sure to bring a hat, water and sunscreen if the event you are attending is in the summer.
