Stenje itself has a nice sandy beach, but I've not been swimming there yet.
According to the locals, the village Slivnica has the nicest beach on the south-eastern shore of Lake Prepa.
Indeed, a long sandy and quiet beach with shallow shoreline was waiting for us!
The water is not as clear as the water of Lake Ohrid, but this of course does not mean it is not clean! There are more water plants though, and the bottom is more muddy than the sandy and stony bottom of Lake Ohrid.
You can combine a day at this beach with a visit to the beautiful Monastery of St Bogorodica Slivnica.
Some impressions of Lake Prespa during a trip from the village Stenje to the uninhabited island Golem Grad.
If you take the road from Stenje to Konjsko, you will see a small church on your right, just where the asphalt road turns to the left.
I don't know the name of this small church.
It housed a whole family of bats!
When we came from St Naum to visit Lake Prespa, we had a small lunch and beers in this hotel/restaurant.
The hotel is not very well marked as such, but it is one of the last buildings on the road along the lake.
I do not know how the rest of the hotel is, but it may be a great place to spend some time at Lake Prespa, which is a lot more peaceful than Lake Ohrid!
