 shrimp56 Says:  This church, aside from being in a fabulous site on Vodno mountain, contains some very fine frescoes. Pictures are not allowed to protect the paintings -- so the next tip will be a picture from the web..And you see here that the sun shines on Panteleimon too!

 shrimp56 Says:  You can eat inside the restaurant :) Same food as outside, but your feet are warmer! The wood/stucco construction with verandas is traditional for the monasteries themself.

 shrimp56 Says:  The shar dog is a mountain sheep-herding dog. There is some controversy as to which part of former Yugoslavia may claim it -- but this young puppy was at the house right next to the monastery church.

 shrimp56 Says:  It was a freak March snowstorm and my friends were getting tired of stopping for me to take pictures:) So I bought them coffee at the top!
