Another important feature of Tapiola is the mix of different types of housing, ranging from single-family houses to the appartment blocks and towers. This enabled desired mix of different social groups of inhabitants.

Espoo is the big city on the west side of Helsinki. It's also famous for having the headquarters of the giant Nokia, but there is also other Finnish international companies there as: Kone, TietoEnator, Fortum, Tekla, Jippii and others.
