This is what we call a good beer-restaurant!They had 250 different beers, and some were very special.Atmosphere was nice also, staff friendly and you could order some snacks-more than just Pringles or peanuts like in many places.
There were also some board games to play,if you like.
If you must say something negative-the prices were high. But I think they are everywhere in Helsinki. All the beers are at little more expensive than in Tampere.
Must say, that we think, that Tampere has more good beer-restaurants today than Helsinki (center). It hasn´t been that way some years ago,but now we do have very good ones.I know there are some good ones outside the Helsinki city-center,but as a tourist we usually like to walk everywhere-so we only choosed the ones at the centre.
But this was good-and next to our hotel! ;)

Local pub to our hotel, and a "nightcap" or two here on a couple of evenings. Very friendly and helpful staff, warm and cosy atmosphere, just how we like pubs.
Large choice of beers to keep us amused and prices no worse than anywhere else in town.
Kaisla is the best "beer place" in Helsinki. They have hundreds of differt beer and cider types from all over the world.
The athmosphere is also really nice and the place is cozy. Location is good too, the place is only a few steps away from Kaisaniemi metro station and about 50 meters from the railway station and the bus station.
In case the watery and freezing cold, foamless Finnish lager isn't your thing - I understand. I, however like it since I grew up on it, just like the Irish grew up on Guinness.
But don't worry, there are numerous, very good bars with huge selections of foreign brews. The widest varieties can be found in Kaisla and Kuikka. The former can be found in the centre, whilst the latter is located in Kallio. Kaisla has more than 20 brews on tap alone... But be prepared to pay between 4,50-8 euros for a good import.

This place is located around the corner from the helsinki railway station. This place has great beer imports and nice environment. Around the corner from that is another place that has ther own brewery and also sells nice beer from other finnish breweries.
Dress Code: Just your normal everyday dress.
