If you just want to go to shopping centre with many well known brands, try Forum and Kamppi (also connected by walking tunnel underground) just in the centre. Old famous department stores Stockmann and Sokos are also in the centre, just by Mannerheiminkatu. For something traditional try Hakaniemen kauppahalli or Kauppatori (market by the sea) or Eat & Joy Maatilatori ("Farmers market") and Finnish desing google Design District Helsinki.
