A great Spanish-style restaurant with the best food I've eaten. The most pleasant decor ("like a real Spanish restaurant") in Kouvola. Quality of the food never lets you down.
Favorite Dish: Pork Catalonia. A large breaded fillet of pork served with a peach cream sauce, french fries and vegetables. If you don't have a sweeth-toothe like I do, it may not be for you, but if you do, you will love it.

You would think the upstairs of a train station would not be a very good place for a restaurant, but this place has been a very popular place in Kouvola for years. I think the restaurant changed owner just recently and I don't know if the place is any different now, but the atmosphere is very nice and everything I've eaten there has been delicious!
Favorite Dish: Pepper steak, it's delicious! They also make excellent pizzas.

A lovely Thai restaurant with a very nice staff and beautiful surroundings. They also have a little Thai shop within the restaurant, I think they sell some spices and food ingredients there? They are co-operating with a local travel agency and arrange "food trips" to Thailand every now and then.
Another one I should try out very soon, I've only stopped by there very quickly.

Fresh pasta, pizza, sallads...
I must say I haven't tried this one yet, but I am about to as I have heard so much good about the place! It's also next to my hair-dresser's so maybe I'll stop by there next time I get a new haircut. :)

Favorite Dish: I keep trying different things from the menu and I really can't tell what is my favourite dish. Last time when I was there I had Rosso Duo which included a small sirloin steak, a grilled fillet of pork, french fries, grilled tomato and béarnaise sauce. Mmm... I loved it!

Spanish Restaurant Olé gave our groop of 12 people such a good food that we all were very satisfied. This was in July 2005.

I spent a little time in this town between train and bus connections. This is the city center to which you can walk straight up from the railway/busstation. There is this pedestrian shopping street......

If you go to Kouvola, the only really really "must" is to visit the great Spanish restaurant Olé. It is the best steak restaurant I've ever been to. The food is superb, especially the Pork Catalonia...
