The easiest way to get to Lahti is by train or bus (if you don't have your own car). Buses from Helsinki depart every half hours and it takes only 1½ hours to reach Lahti. Train from Helsinki is nowadays even a bit faster.
The bus and train systems are very good in Finland so Lahti is easily reached from all over the country.
Buses in the city of Lahti operate not so often but do operate anyway. The best way to go from one place to another in Lahti is by your own car, bicycle or by walking.
