Well, Porvoo has also a hill for downhill skiing! Tallest height difference is 55 metres, four slopes and the longest slope is 400 metres!
Kids find it very popular at winter (December - March). There is a ski rental place so you dont have to bring your own skies!
There is also a possibility for cross-country skiing and they rent skies also for crosscountry; one hour seven euros. Cross-country track (trail? how is it called?) is illuminated even in the evening. There are two tracks thee and five kilometres long.
Unfortunately I dont have any photos of this place but do check out their webpage.
Equipment: Renting possibility both crosscountry and downhill equipment.

A good way to get around Porvoo is to rent a bicycle! This way it is easy to explore Porvoo.
At summer time most of "life" is around the Porvoo river. Even local people come to check out terraces and other people along the Porvoo river. It is common that people living in Helsinki make a joy-ride from Helsinki to Porvoo, eat (drink coffees) and then head back to Helsinki.
The bikes can be rented from this blue cafeteria, which is also a tourist information point. The boats from Helsinki docks quite near (at the same side of river) this place. You can't miss this building!
I think Porvoo Tourist Office has done a marvellouse job when publising bike routes with different themes like: "follow the footprints of Albert Edelfelt" and "Pellinki - from island to island".
This JokirantaCafe is also a Tourist Information point, especially for boat tourist.
Equipment: The bicycles can be rented from JokirantaCafe.
PRICE: 2 Euros per hour and 10 euros per day.

We don't have sunshine around the year, but what we have is 24 hour sun light during the summer time. So if you are searching for the nice golf trip for your summer vacation, Porvoo can be your paradise. Golf has become a very popular among Finnish in couple of last years and new golf areas has been buildt a lot of. Porvoo is wonderful place, near capital but near nature too. There are two major places which I know quite weel. Other on is Porvoo Golf, about 4 kilometers from Porvoo downtown.
Equipment: The other one is Virvik Golf,
