Gili_S Says: To tell it short, best attraction here is this large lake, if it summer or winter, the activities and fun are always somewhere nearby this lake.
Gili_S Says: This is about 500 years old local church, which is probably the only architecture site to see here. Its located in the centre of this small town.

Gili_S Says: This is very small not the best equipped camping ground. However, for one night it was very nice, had good cooking facilities and the lake beach of course. The Pyhajarvi beachOpen June-August
Gili_S Says: I am not really sure if they have any real restaurant here, there are some cafes and gas station you might be able to fins something there. Anyway, we went to the camping site and what we got and the food that my son was preparing.
Gili_S Says: Here, away from the big metropolitans, there will be no problems of parking places anywhere and it is always for free :)
Gili_S Says: When you drive around in the forest, even in some remote places there will be some road signs and you cannot really get lost. Of course, you can still have your map and GPS with you.
Gili_S Says: I cannot think of any danger here, oh well, maybe the risk of drowning of course. However, as you can see in the photo, the police can relax with a cup of coffee on a hot summer night, and just for your information, yes, they confirm that wild camping is allowed in Finland...
Liesjarvi Lake and National Park
Gili_S Says: Tammela situated near the Liesjarvi National Park. It is nature reserve surrounding with forests and lakes where you can do hiking, camping swimming and other nature activities
Gili_S Says: This is another lake near by, it is much smaller and different then the big lake, here there is lots of vegetations and very peaceful environment. Best place to relax, but also to fight the mosquitoes.
Gili_S Says: Not sure if this considered real sport, but anyhow, you can water bike on this beautiful lake during the summer, and I assume you can snowmobile during the winter.
