Tampere is trying to get greatest christmasmarket of the Country starting this year.There is 50 salesman coming,selling Finnish handigrafts and Finnish Christmas-delights from ham to handmade chokolad.It will be looking quite "Christmassy",and the"real Santa",Finnish "Joulupukki" from Rovaniemi polar circle will visit here,too.They will have christmas-song contest for choirs at weekends,and closer to christmas,there will also be fish-market.This is the first time so I can´t tell you more,but all the plans seem quite nice.They have made wooden cottages to salesmen.There is also a stage,where people can have 10min chistmas-shows.It´s open daily from 12th of December to 23rd December.I love Christmas,so I really wait to see this ;)
Updated:Now it open,and looks quite nice.Of course it´s quite small compered to German ones,but anyway,I hope it will be every year now.Turku says to be Christmas-city of Finland,but now we have nicer christmasmarket!They said,it might get bigger next year,if all goes well.
