Särkänniemi is probably one of the biggest tourist attractions in Tampere.
In Särkänniemi you can visit the amusement park, aquarium, dolphinarium, children's animal park, Sara Hilden art museum, planetarium and the highest observation tower of the nordic countries called Näsinneula.
Unique Suggestions: Go to Näsinneula.
The tower peak is at 168 meters.
Restaurant is at the height of 124 meters, which is the highest you can get in that tower. Restaurant is rotating, so you can get the 360 degrees panorama view while sitting at the restaurant.
The tower is open throughout the year. The restaurant prices are even higher than the tower, but I guess you won't go there every day.

Tampere is partly known for it's amusement park, Sarkanniemi and you will find funny things to try. But apart from being some what smaller than you'd expect, the only thing making it different from other amusementparks is the tower with it's amazing view of Tampere and surroundings. So if you only have limitted time, spend it downtown or if you do bring children, go to the Moominpark in nearby Naantali instead.
