 cloudberry Says:  The Karjalantalo restaurant was re-opened in April after a renovation work and I haven't been there after it but at least earlier the food was good - but a bit expensive. Here you can find local specialities from the buffet table.

 tpk2 Says:  Repokallio in Niinivaara has the best cross country skiing tracks in Joensuu. There are some tens of kilometers of tracks of which two (1,3 and 4 km) are illuminated. You need equipment for nordic skiing (skis, shoes, sticks) ;) No rental at Repokallio.
