In the winter be aware that all the smaller roads are snow and ice covered, be sure to have winter tyres on your car and drive careful.

Repokallio in Niinivaara has the best cross country skiing tracks in Joensuu. There are some tens of kilometers of tracks of which two (1,3 and 4 km) are illuminated.

Equipment: You need equipment for nordic skiing (skis, shoes, sticks) ;) No rental at Repokallio.
