    You can see some good old domestic animals in the middle of Joensuu, too. Sinkkola Farm in Noljakka is open during summer (Tue-Thu and Sat-Sun 10 a.m - 6 p.m.) and there is no entrance fee.

    In the winter be aware that all the smaller roads are snow and ice covered, be sure to have winter tyres on your car and drive careful.

    Repokallio in Niinivaara has the best cross country skiing tracks in Joensuu. There are some tens of kilometers of tracks of which two (1,3 and 4 km) are illuminated.

    Equipment: You need equipment for nordic skiing (skis, shoes, sticks) ;) No rental at Repokallio.
