    Sunbathing and ice hole swimming

I wrote this to extreme category, probably it's heavy for you, but definitely worth of trying. I give you a quarantine, if you follow my rules, rest of your evening is the most relaxed and cool you ever have experienced.

    Rules:
    - spend 5-10 minutes in hot sauna
    - just walk to the lake for 10-15 secs (don't jump, just use ladders)
    - back to sauna for 5-10 minutes
    - second swimming round and try to be there as long as you can + 5 secs more
    - last time in sauna, 5-10 minutes.
    - short last visit to lake, cool down in the freeze
    - wait that you skin is dry and dress up

Probably when walking back to the city you feel that you are flying!

    Equipment: Swimming apparel

You can go here on winter or summer, probably you find young boys practising there. It's very nice, they are eager, Kuopio has been one of Finnish sources to word champions, and the skiis are very long compared to the boys. It's amazing when you see 130cm boy carrying 250cm skiis (and more amazing when you see him jumping some 100 meters).

Equipment: Cloth warmly or take your own skiis with you.

    Snowmobile safari

by Zirpsis Updated Dec 10, 2006

This is great fun. It's amazing how fast you can ride these machines. I think I was speeding at about 90 km/h. I loved it! Did you know that the handles of these things are actually heated so your fingers don't freeze. You can hire all the gear you need from the safari arranger and they give you training how to handle the snowmobile before letting you ride one. So it's ok for even beginners (I'm a good example of that!)

So what's a snowmobile? Look what Wikipedia says at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowmobile

    Who is next?

Finnish like sports a lot, they have a great success in most of them. For example, Paavo Nurmi had won 9 gold medals and 3 silver ones at the Olympic Games at the decades of 1920-30, he had also 31 world records! His statue is outside the Olympic Stadium of Helsinki.
Especially in winter sports, Finnish athletes are some of the best, they love these sports so much that they are skiing even without snow...
