This is the best restaurant in Mikkeli - you can get great authentic Italian pizzas, Mexican bits and pieces, but the steaks... oh man, they are out of this world! All very reasonably prized, centrally located and includes a salad buffet as a starter - you cannot go wrong with this place! Great beer and wine selection - English speaking and knowledgable staff - definitely worth a visit!
Favorite Dish: Any steak - you can choose your potato dish according whether you prefer chips, potato gratin, new potatoes etc. You get a go at the salad buffet before hand and also free tea or coffee afterwards.

The cafeteria is special because it simply is the heart of the market place. The coffee is good, not to mention the pulla.
Mikkeli without the market place and its cafeteria is unthinkable.
Favorite Dish: One coffee and pulla, please. Kahvi and pulla. Finnish pulla is always good.
