 minner02 Says:  This is the best restaurant in Mikkeli - you can get great authentic Italian pizzas, Mexican bits and pieces, but the steaks... oh man, they are out of this world! All very reasonably prized, centrally located and includes a salad buffet as a starter - you cannot go wrong...

 Soili Says:  The cafeteria is special because it simply is the heart of the market place. The coffee is good, not to mention the pulla. Mikkeli without the market place and its cafeteria is unthinkable. One coffee and pulla, please. Kahvi and pulla. Finnish pulla is always good.

 Soili Says:  The market place is very central in Mikkeli. People gather there, and here you can also hear some of the Mikkeli dialect. Don't be afraid if people come and actually talk to you: they mean no harm, they're just friendly. Even if you don't have a common language.

 Soili Says:  For those who want to folow a horse race, MIkkeli is one of the places to head to. The race track is situated within the town itself. A very colourful spectacle, and the town is humming with excitement on the racing day.
