If I remember correctly there are 248 steps to the top. Be there when it's dark (and be carefull, the lamp blinks three times during 20 secs.

    Location: 59° 43,4' N 22° 30,1' E.

The place in the tower (photo 2) tells that the lamp was made by the famous French optical firm Barbier, Bernard and Turenne from Paris. The same manufacturer's lamp can be found from e.g Point Vicente, California.

You'll understand that this is not a 'real' nightlife tips like bar or pub. This is about a mystic of nights in Bengtsk?r. Summer nights there are un unforgetable experience. It's so nice and quiet, you heard just voices of sea and maybe some bird is singing. There are still some lights from sun, but moon has already gone up to the blue sky.

Dress Code: Take your time and sit in a warm rocky. You can really feel that you are alive.

Travelling by car, the port of Kasnäs is about 200 km from Helsinki. You can drive either through Tammisaari or Salo, but make sure to turn towards Kemiö when you reach Perniö. From Turku, the distance is ca 100 km.

Before reaching Kasnäs, travellers take a stop at the Lövö car ferry, which has a timetable. If You intend to participate on the cruise to Bengtskär and Rosala Viking Centre, The Archipelago route, we recommend the ferry that starts at 10.20 from Lövö.

The shortest and safest sea route to Bengtskär goes through the world's most beautiful archipelago. The trip from Kasnäs to Bengtskär takes about an hour.

The distance between Helsinki and Hanko is ca 140 km, and the boat trip takes about two hours.

Favorite thing: The nature is very infertile in Bengtskär, but it doens't make it unintersting, vice versa..
I like it some way, birds and frogs are everyday animla there and if you are lucky, you'll see a seal lying in the rockies enjoying the sun. Most of area of Bengtskär is cliffs and rocks, there are just some small green parts.
But seals, they are so cute and special. If I could be an animal I would absolutely be a seal or finnish version of it, ringed seal.

Favorite thing: You can book a room, so you can stay in Bengtskär over a night. But there's many more things to do, like for example enjoy unique nature or visit in the home of lighthouse keeper. There are many exhibitions during summer and you can visait in the tower and see unforgetable views.
