Juhani Palmu is one of the most renowned contemporary artists in Finland. His production can be appreciated in his own country as well as in 24 more countries in Europe, the United States and Japan. One of his main Galleries is in Alahärmä, 55 kms away from Seinäjoki, Finland.
He was born in Turku, in 1944, he has studied Art in Cologne in 1991-993. With also a theology background, after studying and teaching theology at several institutions he decided to buy a 200 years old, historical house in Alahärmä, where is now his work place and a good part of his art presentations. He has a residence in France as well.
In this gallery visitors can be delighted with Palmu’s long carrier paintings, different thematic. The painting message is mainly related to Finn-Hungarian popular traditions; also the pictures vary from landscapes, women figures, to Old Testament representations. Landscapes have remained a worthwhile theme throughout his career. His paintings describe the power of nature in its seasonal colors, shapes and patterns. Pamu's basic images are simple; Finnish vernacular buildings, the quality of the northern light, ancient symbols, the landscape itself and its inhabitants. His paintings communicate the feeling of environments that have been lived in and the land that has been worked.Related to:

Powerpark is one of the most popular leisure centers in Finland. It is located in Alahärmä, 55 kms from Seinäjoki.
It is a recreational park with more than 100 hectares. The area includes the amusement park with a fairy-tale world, hotels, restaurants, cafés, a shopping street, a camping site, the largest karting hall in Europe and the Mika Salo Cicuit outdoor track.
This amusement park has 34 different rides, for different tastes and ages, including Thunderbird, Finland’s largest wooden rollercoaster and there is also a new 5D cinema.
The activities also include horseback trekking and ATV safaris in Ostrbotnian landscape.
Devil’s Mine Hotel, the interactive ghost train, MegaDrop, the free fall, Thunderbird, one of the world’s best wooden roller coasters and Booster are some of the coolest and scariest attraction in Finland. Those who like calmer rides can enjoy the traditional carousels or ferries with a lovely view to the Ostrobothnian countryside.
