A truly traditional Finnish sauna. Wooden sauna with woodfire. Temperature depends on how hot you can take. Normally one house has their own sauna. 10-15 minutes in the sauna then go chill out outside the sauna house with a cider and some grilled makkara (sausage in Finnish). And then when your body temp. low, go into the sauna again. Spanking with birch leaves, they said that it's good to clean up the body and make blood circulation flow.The rule is you have to be naked. thats fun! and you cannot do indecent act because there's elves (sauna tonttu)that guards the saunas.

Take off your clothes as go skinny dip in the lake! It's summer, but the water is freezing!! even though it's midnight, but there's still light. Sunset normally around 11.30pm. Isn't that wonderful?

3 hours drive along the country side from Ahtiala in Lahti to Orivesi in summer is beautiful. Greens, valleys, wheat fields are swaying depends on the winds are really a beauty.
