    Buses and trains come from Helsinki to Pori in about 4 hours. Unfortunately you have to switch trains in Tampere. Located on seashore, you can also arrive by a boat. Guest Harbour is located in Reposaari 30 km from city centre. Pictured the guest harbour Marina Merilokki (Marina Seagull).
    Pori's public transport consists of buses often of small sizes which was the biggest surprise for me when I first moved in here. They can be as small as 12 seats :D

    • Getting to Pori (and out of there) is easy, by plane, by bus or by train.
    Don't look for a metro, there's no such thing. There's local buses. (the ticket is about 2E) Cycling is also highly recommended. Driving in Pori is easy, though there are many oneways. Pori is such a small city that easiest way to go around is by walking. Really.

    A citytrain called Poritar goes around the city in the summertime. It is a fun way to see places in Pori. It costs around 3 E(adults) and 2,5E(kids).

    Reposaari island is located outside Pori on the Gulf of Bothnia at the outlet of the River Kokem?enjoki. The island is about three kilometres long and a half kilometre wide.
    Because of its favourable location and this uniquely sheltered and deep natural harbour Reposaari was well known to tradesmen and warriors.
    The many beatiful wooden houses are witnesses of those times and together with a marvellous maritime scenery it makes an attractive place.

    This is an experience not to miss if you are in Pori during the Jazz Fesitval. The picnic concert is on the Island of Kirjurinluoto and goes on for the whole afternoon. There is enough space to sit down, eat and drink while linstening to world class jazz music!

    Yyteri Sands. Sunbathing, beach volley, minigolf, surfing, tennis, boating... you name it. Also a naturist beach ;)
    6 kilometres of dunes with fine, white sand; one of the best beaches in whole Scandinavia. Also Yyteri Camping area and Yyteri Spa Hotel.
