This is a small place where you can eat many kinds of kebab dishes and pizza at very reasonable prices. It's in the downtown area and believe me, a meal here will keep you satisfied for quite a while!!
Not everyone at this restaurant speaks English but they do have a menu in this language in case you don't speak Finnish and have no idea of what they serve in here ;)) There are several options to choose from, the place was clean and apparently it's popular among the locals.
Kebab was really good and BIG! I prefer the one with pita bread but they also had big rolls (which my friend says are really tasty and HUGE), kebab meat with rice, etc....... Wanna eat with angels? If you say yes, this is for you. Wonderful restaurant has it's own style, which is not religious att all, it has born bacuse of love with angles by it's owners. There are angle paintings on the walls and many other smaller angel miniatyrs.

Blanko is a café, restaurant, and club. I generally go there for coffee or something small to eat and to meat up with friends, but they have a full dinner menu too. The food is a mix of italian and asian food, pasta, noodles etc.

Although this is a restaurant, the 2 times I visited this place I only drank cider or coffee and sat down for a short while to chat with my friends, so I can't really recommend (or not) the food they serve here. I've always thought of Blanko rather as a place where people meet to have a drink in the evening and as a "nightlife" spot -- at least my friends have told me that the environment is cool in the evening and people like to hang out there to have fun at night.
Anyway, this is a place with several small tables inside, decorated in a very minimalistic (= simple) style and with a few tables in the terrace/sidewalk too, which are often all taken. It must be nice to sit down outside during the spring/summer months because the restaurant is located on a busy street and next to the river, so you can see a lot of people passing by and enjoy the view during the long afternoons. The local is rather dark inside and not very fun, so maybe that's also why we haven't stayed there long. But it's ok if you want to make a pause in your visit and relax while having a drink at one of the most popular spots in town. A great place for chap but big and delicious pizzas. You pick our own toppings, the cheapest pizza being one with tomatosauce, cheese and one extra topping. It's a very low key, fast food kind of place, but the prices are probably the lowest in Turku. And some say the pizza is the best of all the fast food pizzerias in town. You can eat there or take the pizza home with you.
