Enkeliravintola(angelcafe), Memphis, ribs, Torre, viikinkiravintola Harald, kellariravintolat, these are quite normal good restaurants. Harald is an old 'viking style' resturant, Rico, restaurant
if you are looking for cheaper ones, then try Rax golden buffe, pizzeria Napoli, Panini...etc
a better and more expensive one is viktoria.
a little different is Svarte Rudolf restaurant ship an pub.
try to take a cruise with s/s Ukkopekka, an old steamship. Enjoy the unique and extremely beutiful archipelago, and eat a delicius meal and drink good winw at the same time!
also a very nice way to combine, eating, partying and tarvelling is to take a cruise to stocholm, with Viking Line or Silja Line...
Favorite Dish: in Ribs, big meat is worth trying, you get to eat as much as you can for a same rate...(84 fim I recon)
In Harald try a desert called 'tervajäätelö', thats quite different...
at Svarte Rudolf try pepper stake, its delicious and you usually get 2 for the price of one...
at pizzeria Napoli, taste hot stuff, its great, or if you drop in at lunchtime take the pasta buffe and a large cola...yum..yum...

Turku has quite a lot different kinds of restaurants to choose from. We have pizzerias, hamburger restaurants, kebab restaurants etc.... My personal favourites are Pizzeria Dennis where you get the best pizza in town. Hesburger is Finnish hamburger restaurant chain and I simply love their food! I also like Rosso´s mozzarella salad, which is soo delicious!

Viikiniravintola (Viking restaurant) Harald
The Viking atmosphere inside the restaurant is excellent. The furniture is made of wood coarsely planed down. The napkins are made of hand-woven cloth. The crookery is made of varnished terracotta.
The waitress greets you wearing a country dress and long plaits.
Favorite Dish: I had salmon soup, duck and berries with cream. Very nice and good-size portions too.

For dinner try Hamburger Börs. Quality and price are in good balance.
To have a beer go to Koulu (also wines in the evenings) or Old Bank (also spirits, but not wines). Other good alternatives are Apteekki, Olavin Krouvi and Hunter's
At summertime Koulu is the best place due to it's in house brewed beer. Young people prefer riverside ships.

Cheep, good lunch can be found at studentrestaurants ( the same as what is called Menza in German).
I'd recommend Assarin Ullakko.. Other student lunchplaces are Gadolinia (near the cathedral) and Hammas (near Biocity)-
For non-students warm lunch including e.g. coca-cola, milk or water + bread and sallad costs about 20 FIM (=4 USD).
Favorite Dish: This place has 3-4 dishes to choose between. One usually vegetarian and at most studentrestaurants you can find glutenfree, lactosefree etc. meals.

This Rocca restaurant is one of the stylish here and also the hight cost with it. But by no means it is over charging, it is just not a fast food or cheap place, but its good for romantic dinner ;-)

Cafe Art is one unique just by the front of the river. It is small and intimate place and even its few tables outside by the river has some good atmosphere for a sunny coffee break.

There are many Boat Restaurants by the river, great places for lunch or dinner as well as for just a drink in the afternoon or evening.
