Finland was a transit country for us. We have taken an advantage of E18 motorway to pass from a border of Russia through Finland to Turku. Our way across Finland from Valimma up to Turku has made 350 kilometers.
E18 motorway represents mostly an autobahn though still there are some parts where it represents an usual highway. Restriction of speed on a motorway is 120 kilometers in an hour, on highway - 100 kilometers.
Therefore the whole distance can be overcome easily for 4 hours.

Departure of the ferry is at 21.15. It is necessary to arrive with a car by 20.15. Loading on the ferry occupies about an hour.
Time in a way up to Stockholm is about 9 hours. According to a difference in time between Finland and Sweden which is 1 hour a ferry arrives to Stockholm at 7.00.
It is very convenient to overcome 300 kilometers at night and have a good sleep!

The basic sight of Turku for us became a ferry. For this reason we have appeared in this city. Our task was to be forwarded through the sea from Finland to Sweden.
There are some variants of the decision of this task. We have chosen Turku and have not regretted.
Ferry Silja-line has two regular cruise in day up to Stockholm - in the day time and at night. We have chosen a night cruise.
The price of one cabin of a tourist class has made 68 euros for two persons. The price of transportation of our car - 42 euros.

Föri : The river ferry which carries pedestrians and cyclists acroos the river for free! It has been operating already for over a hundred years. You will see ''Orange'' ferry crossing the river when you pass by the restaurant ship Esposito.

i was flying blue1 from turku and had a straight connection to Bologna via Copenhagen. Blue1 is member of SAS, so u don't need to check in twice if u have connections, this is pretty good especially if you don't have a long connection time between first and second flight

From Jyrkkälä you may take bus to Härkämäki (number 12) or to Pansio and Lauste (number 99). One ticket is valid 2 hours, and costs 2 euros. 24 hours ticket costs 4.5 euros. (Speaking the truth it does not last 24 hours, because it is not valid at night time.)

On Tammikatu busstop you are waiting for bus number 99. It goes from Lauste to Pansio and back. It's one the few busses which do not drive through the center. During waiting you may look at people's gardens.

Every time use Vikinl Line from Turku to come to Sweden, Stocholm. Faster, then from Helsinki and goot chance to spend time in bout.
I think it's the best choose for student , to come 2Stockholm, cause there is discount for student (ISIC), do u can puy just 10 e. for one way, but not cabin!

Leaving Åland for Turku, we had plenty of time to admire the landscapes of the sea. It is such a great impression to sail through all those beautiful little islands ! I really advise to anyone going from Stockholm to Finland to use this way of travelling !

There is one unique service here in the city, a small local ferry that will take you in a minute from one side to another side of the river, I assume this service is running only in summer, and it was working even late at night.
