Hi, Royal Curry House is on Hameenkatu 9, 20500 Turku. I have tried their cuisine, its simply delicious and the best. The atmosphere is very nice at this place. They have a nice setting, a well decorated interior. The waitresses are very friendly, and can speak English and Finnish. There are many boats witch are used as restaurants, at the river Aura. We have had Klubi in Tampere for ages, allthough it was "Tulliklubi" when I was younger. Now they do have Klubi at Turlu also. It´s a place dor live music. we didn’t buy anything in Turku except some food supplies from Lidl supermarket (Eerikinkatu 4) which is located near market square. There´s lots of candy at here, and mostly quite cheap. It also looked like they have those ones being "wrong season". I saw easter candy for example at october. As you may know, the Finns (and other people in Northern & Eastern Europe) have a weird habit that goes along with their sauna tradition: since the temperature within the sauna is really high and they cannot stand being inside for a very long time (even while drinking cold beer/cider), they come out after a while and plunge into the FREEZING water...more

When you arrive by train in Turku you hear a Loudspeakter announcement advertising a Railway-Bus service to the town. As lots of other People we got on it, only to find out that the ride was just a few minutes. And these few minutes are expensive enough :(.
We walked back and found out that it's only a 10 minutes walk from the place the Bus stopped to the Station.
Fun Alternatives: The best thing you can do is walk, it's only a short distance. I think there is a public bus wich does it too and probably doesn't cost half...

If you stay more than one or two days in Turku, and especially if it´s summer, you should visit town of Naantali! It really nice town, on of those places we call "summer towns". Too bad i don´t have digi photos from there.The seaside is nice, and the town is beautyful. If you travel with kids, you might also like to visit Moomin world....more
