Finland has a football tradition of more than a hundred years. It is told that football was introduced to youngsters in the city of Turku by the sons of a British shipyard industrialist who came to Finland in the latter part of 19th century. The Football Museum of Finland was established in 1993 at Valkeakoski, one of the football centres in the country. The purpose of the museum is to collect and present material and articles related to the development of football in Finland. You can also familiarize yourself with football Hall of Fame Finland. Don`t let the facade of the museum disturb you - the place is defenetly worth of visit.
