Grilli Muossi -Saariselka.: Anyone for a bit of Grilled Mousse!!!??

No town is complete without their equivelent to a kebab shop!! The Grilli Moussi sells everything from Reindeer and Pineapple Pie, to Chips and Burgers.

Lets face it, you have to have something to blame that ill feeling on in the morning, and it can't be the booze can it??!!!

Favorite Dish: For about 7 Euros you can treat yourself t a burger with egg, salad, bacon, smoked reindeer, cheese, onions and sauce.
After a long session at the kareoke bar i can't think of a better end to an evening!!
The Chips have a Paprika coating, lovely with ketchup, mayo and fried onions on top!

Huippu - restaurant of Kaunispää: Huippu - 20 km views around

Huippu is worth of going even the cafe is closed.

Huippu has long history and very varying reputation for food. Some years they have had mainly gourmet menu, some years they are more concentrated to feed tourist buses.

The main thing is not the food itself, but Huippu it is located at the top at Kaunispää mountain fell, which provides to you a suberb 360 degree view at Lapland.

Huippu and Kaunispää is maybe the most easiest mountain fell to access and for that reason, it is also very popular among day-trippers and tour buses.

In winter season, Huippu is open daily basis. In summer, ask and check the opening times from Saariselkä. Althought the Huippu might be closed at summer sometimes, it is worth to go at the top of Kaunispää.

Favorite Dish: In Lapland, 'poronkäristys' - meaning stew with smashed potatoes - is rarely a miss, also in Huippu.

Also, Finnish 'munkki' and coffee is a classic at Lapland. 'Munkki' is wheat-based sweet pastry, which is first fried in oil and after that rolled in sugar. Vey nice and a real fat-maker.
