The hotel Pallas has a history common in Lapland. It used to be a really nice, functionalism-era, hotel which was demolished at the end of 2nd world-war by retreating german troops. In the figure, you can see what it looked like before the war.

A: August is one of the warmest months in Finland, but since days are getting shorter, you can bring a jacket for the nights.
