Pallas is propably one of the oldest downhill skiing centres in Finland. It is located by the Pallas hotel (see my another tip about its' history). What really surprised me was that the slopes were surprisingly good, especially compared to the price of the tickets. (see my downhil-skiing tip ! Not necessary more than one day but definitely worth visiting only because of the sceneries. They were splendid.

Q: We are about to visit Muonio in Finlad during August 2009 and would like to hear from someonw who visted there during that period...

A: August is one of the warmest months in Finland, but since days are getting shorter, you can bring a jacket for the nights.
