Lapland Safaris are one of the biggest outdoor companies in Lapland that will take you for an outdoor activity, skiing, river cruise, a husky safari or just hiking around all depends on the season and availability.
On the way from Ivalo to Inari there is an interesting view point to go and check it out. You need to drive off the road and up the hill for a km or so but then you will get to a high point where you can have a great view to the Inari lake and the forest around.
Although this isn't technically off the neaten path, I didn't quite know how to catagorise it.This company use a weird product name that doesn't necessarily make their products look all that appertising to foreigners. But I had to try it....
While driving north on interstate #5 there is an unexpected sight just some kilometres before Kuusamo on you right hand side.It sure makes you wonder when reading 500 metres before "it" the sigh saying 'Hiljainen kansa' (the quiet people).First you notice a whole bunch of people standing in the field - just standing. Then on 2nd look you just have to laugh... go and see for yourself...

Sevettijarvi is another place far north east of Lapland, not far away from Norway and Russia. It is a great place to visit in the summer.
Madetkoski is one remote place in the far north east of the Finnish Lapland. Great place to experience the wild nature, forests and lakes.
The River Ounasjoki near the town of Kittila has wonderful sites for spending time in the wilderness, hiking, fishing and camping. It is one of the biggest rivers in Lapland.
