In the centre of Virtasalmi there is a miniature village: small houses, chirch, bridges...Looks lovely. You will feel yourself as a giant!:-)

In Virtasalmi you will find a very nice place for bathing. The lake is really beautiful. We spent much time there, swimming and lying in the sun. Once on a hot august day we went there and suddenly the thunder came. It was frightening, the whole sky was dark and eveythere we saw the flashes of the light, but the finns stayed surprisingly calm and continued bathing, even families with babies. It was again the proof of finnish coolness:P
