hmm... I don't really have a...

by sannabanana

hmm... I don't really have a favourite one. (most of them suck) A couple that I like are two bars, Tori (fredrikinkatu) and Soda (uudenmaankatu), and a nightclub called Kerma (Erottaja) If you like cocktails, Sling Inn is the place to go to in Makkaratalo, building next to wtc plaza in the center of the city. It's open all days of the week and on nights like Sunday to Thu. the customers are mostly people that work in restaurants themselves (or just plain drunks --same difference!) If you like clubs (like trance, house, etc.) you should look for the flyers that people give out usually in front of or near Stockmann and in some clothes stores. There are some Clubs every weekend, sometimes with morning parties that run from 5a.m. to 12p.m. and the chill out party's usually at Kerma on Sundays (for hardcore party goers only, I couldn't do it!!) Another one is at CTRL I think... not for sure...

Clubbing in Finland... Not...

by Tsakane

Clubbing in Finland... Not really, most night clubs are called 'ravintola' (=restaurant), but don't expect them to serve food! Drinking what is best done in these places, and that's what Finns do, drink...Go to 'Zetor' in Helsinki, it's a really funny place... They really have a Zetor (Russian made tractor) in the club!!! Btw- I met my hubby there... Dress code; no sneakers, or sports shoes in general!!! Otherwise almost anything goes, but mind you, the restaurants do have the right to choose their customers.

by marjaK

During the summertime the best place to go in Helsinki is the Kappeli Restaurant and Terrace - right in the center of the city! The restaurant is one of the most popular places in Helsinki and it's situated close the harbor. It's definitely the best place to meet people!

SODA: SODA

by alice_tinker

Its a pub upstairs and a pub downstairs. Its only 10FIM to get in and with reasonably priced drinks and a good DJ its fab value for money. Take ID though, they can be a bit strict! Black is the colour!

by Italian_Roxy

It's better you take into account that night life is only limited to friday-saturday nights. I don't know how it is in July (I went to Finland in August) but is desolating to be chased away by restaurants at 10.00 pm!!!At times there are happenings collecting more people around, such as festivals. But generally, during the week people have just one beer and go bed very early. Young Finns very much like to dress in black. So, I hope you like this colour (like me) and dress like this all the time so that you are not pointed out as a 'tourist' he he!!!
