Rucksack or any light travelling bag for your walking and tour in Finland. The bag certainly will become handy when you do your minor shopping especially for postcards and small souvenirs.
Light clothing complete with light jackets in summer and thick winter jackets in winter as winter can be as cold as -20 degrees Celcius. We have been to Finland during very cold winter several times.
Don't forget your daily requirements of medicines if you are on medication. Other supplies that may become necessary are C-vitamins, headache tablets or painkillers, plasters for minor cuts, small scissors and nailcreepers etc. Remember not to place your scissors and other sharp objects in your cabin luggage, otherwise they will be confiscated at the airport even before you begin your journey!
It is a sin if you forget your digital camera, camcorder including accessories such as battery, battery charger and memory cards.
Swim wears if you visit Finland during the summer months.
Miscellaneous items include maps of Finland and its cities and the guide books, mobile phone, mp3 player, iPod, battery charger for mobile phone etc. Leave a Comment

You absolutely want to wear good protection for your feet and head, so don't be stingy - you are here to enjoy the nature after all. Wear warm colthes underneath and wind protective gear on top.... and good gloves. Leave a Comment

If you come here in winter, bring warm clothes and a good, warm coat. The temperature can be +5 C and raining, but it can also be -30 C. In summer, pack your t-shirts and shorts, but take along a pair of jeans and a shirt with long sleeves as well. It can be +30 C and clear blue skies, but it can also be +15 C with nothing but rain, rain, rain. Leave a Comment

by Leipzig Finland is located between the 60th and 70th degree of longitude. It is a bit influenced by the Golf Stream. In winter, the mean temperature remains below freezing point, but sometimes warm air masses can raise the daily high above 0°C (32°C) in the south. Winter usually begins in October in Lapland and in November in the rest of Finland. It is the longest season, lasting for about 90 days in southwestern Finland and 190 days in the north. As the Arctic Circle runs through the country, parts of the region north of it experience polar nights and days. In the northernmost point of Finland, the polar night lasts for 50 days. Sometimes temperatures can drop down to -40°C (-40°F) in Lapland (record -50°C); and -25°C in the coastal regions (record Helsinki -34°C). Leave a Comment

When you come to Finland, take with you a bag that doesn't weigh too much, because you probably need to walk some time before you get to your final destination. Or if you need to take a lot of stuff with you, pack them to a bag you can pull or carry easily!
In summer time Finland it's not too hot, but you'd better take summer clothes with you. In the winter time (almost from October to March) it can be really cold even in Helsinki, so bring warm clothes with you! Like a warm coat, shoes, trousers and gardigans! And don't forget the warm hat and gloves!
Bring something to wounds if you get hurt and in summer time some hydrocortison to the bites of mosquitoes!
Bring your camera with you! :)
There aren't dangerous animals in Finland, but the mosquitoes can bite you sometimes so you need something for the bites. And proper shoes for walking aren't bad either. Leave a Comment

by Gili_S Winter: Must have beside a good jacket, also a scarf, gloves and hat too. Good shoes are a must. Summer: Light jacket and some warm clothes but also shorts/skirts & t-shirts. Sandals. There is 200,000 lakes here and over 1000 miles of sea beaches, in most you can swim nude, but have a Swimming suit for the crowded places.
Winter: Lips moisturizes. Summer: Mosquitoes repellent. (if planning to go to the country side)
Tents & sleeping bags for camping. Leave a Comment
