The port of Helsinki is the busiest passenger port in the country and is also the main port of Finland for cargo traffic. It handles most of the country's cargo traffic with facilities for large container traffic. The South Harbour has ferry terminals for passenger traffic built for cruise ships such as Viking Line and Silja Line which depart for Mariehamn, Åland and Stockholm, Sweden. You can travel to Tallinn in Estonia from the Port of Helsinki. The terminals in the harbour handle approximately 5 millions passengers annually. The deep harbour also attracts international cruise ships from around the world during the summer months. Yet another delightful small lake in the Vantaa area ... I can never get enough of lakes in Finland .... lucky for me there are so many of them :-)) This one is particularly pretty to walk around, especially in winter a few minutes before sunset, especially in special company :-) Leave a Comment
