Miscellaneous: Michelin's Green Guide to Alsace, Lorraine & Champagne is highly recommended. The most comprehensive guide on the area. Was surprised to see so many visitors with this guide in many different languages.

Miscellaneous: Bring your drawing/sketching utensils - there are so many beautiful things to put down on paper!!!

We sat down on a bench in the middle of Colmar, Heinz took a nap and I had half an hour time to do some sketching. Or just sitting on one of the canals of little Venice and get out your paper and pencil is just as wonderful and relaxing....
