    Favorite thing: Half-timbered building are typical of the Alsace Region. The filling between timbers in the older homes was called cob, a mixture of clay, straw and animal fur.

    The touristy part of town

    Favorite thing: There are lots of little shops and restuarants catering to tourists but it still doesn't distract from the beauty and charm of this village.

    Favorite thing: Alsatian wines/grapes are predominantly white and include Sylvaner, Muscat, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir.

    Favorite thing: Kaysersberg is considered to be one of the finest wine growing areas in Alsace. The first vines were brought here in the 1500's from Hungary.
