All together 170 kilometres of great landscape with beautifull vineyards.

Dr. Albert Schweizer (1875-1965)was born here. Organist, musician and priest, he went back to university to study medecine and with on his own built a hospital in Lambarene, Africa, where he aided the poor and sick. He was one of my heros since I was a little girl, I was fascinated by his mission in Africa.1952 he was rewarded with the Nobel prize for peace. Leave a Comment
