It was cold and lightly raining. We had a long drive that day and were tired so we looked for the nearest restaurant with lots of people in it. This took us around the corner to the Cheval Noir (Black Horse) a block away.
It was toasty warm inside and very friendly. French restaurants are usually convivial and this was no exception.
Favorite Dish: I got a braised pork leg and Ed the trout. We had fresh raspberries for dessert. It was entirely adequate although certainly not a gourmet restaurant. We would eat there again under similar circumstances.

Patisserie Vilmain is really exceptionnal with her home made cakes and all sort of patisserie.
I am coming from the land of sweets but I have to accept that they are good very good !!!
